Structure of the cable

  1. Conductor: Al or Cu stranded wire, compacted
  2. Conductor screen: Semiconductive layer on the conductor
  3. Insulation: XLPE
  4. Insulation screen: Semiconductive layer on the insulation
  5. Electrical protection/screen: Made of Cu wires, waterproof design
  6. Sheath: Semiconductive PE
  7. Additional electrical protection: Made of tin-coated Cu wires (1 or 2 layers)

Field of application
For underground installation, in ducts, on brackets, where mechanical damage is not expected. Designed for moderate mechanical tensile stress.
As an underground distribution or connection cable in areas with very poor soil conductivity, to protect electrical installations from overvoltages caused by lightning strikes or other faults in the high-voltage transmission network.

Additional electrical protection is designed according to the customer’s requirements, with all other data as for cables XHE 49 and XHE 49-A.
