The first truck delivering equipment and components for our new CCV line arrived on site today, marking a significant milestone in the project execution phase.

This delivery supports the ongoing installation and preparation of our state-of-the-art MV insulation line, which is progressing according to plan. The focus now shifts toward integration, commissioning, and ramp-up activities.

We are on track to achieve full production by the end of Q2 this year and look forward to translating this investment into operational capability and performance.

On December 23, 2025, ELKA became the first cable manufacturer in the world to receive VDE certification for 110 kV cables — the highest voltage certification currently issued by VDE.

This milestone is the result of dedicated work by our entire team, led by our Head of Quality Control, Vlatko Poljak, Head of R&D, Toni Oreč, and Management Board members Marko Čepek and Olivera Matić. Together with our colleagues at VDE, they have helped establish this new certification level while making ELKA the first company to achieve it.

We are especially honored that VDE selected ELKA as the first cable manufacturer globally to complete this certification program, demonstrating the superior quality of our products.

This achievement further reinforces ELKA’s commitment to continuous research, development, and production excellence — always with our partners and customers in mind, helping them gain a competitive advantage in the market.

We are proud to announce that two long-time champions of ELKA, Olivera Matic and Marko Čepek, have officially joined the Management Board of ELKA!

This milestone strongly reaffirms our belief that the best leaders grow from within. Their deep knowledge of our business, our values, and our customers makes them the perfect choice.

Olivera will be responsible for Sales, bringing her extensive market insight and customer-focused approach.

Marko will lead the Technical area, continuing to drive innovation, quality, and technical excellence.

Our collaboration with Rosendahl Nextrom continues to play an important role in developing and advancing our production capabilities here at ELKA. Their technology supports our goals in efficiency, innovation, and maintaining high manufacturing standards.

We look forward to the next phase of this partnership, including the arrival of two new Rosendahl lines in 2026. as an investment that will further strengthen our processes and long-term development.

Today at CIGRE Šibenik, our colleague Valeria Marjanović, Materials Technologist, co-delivered an insightful presentation on:
“Degassing at Ambient Conditions – A Comparative Study Between Conventional XLPE and Novel Low Emission XLPE Materials.”

Research was a team effort that focused on one of the key challenges in cable production — the degassing process of XLPE insulation used to remove residual methane after crosslinking. This step often represents a bottleneck in manufacturing due to its duration and energy demand.

Research compared conventional XLPE with novel low-emission XLPE materials, showing that even under ambient conditions, low-emission XLPE achieves faster degassing. This innovation not only enhances production efficiency but also supports our commitment to sustainability and energy-conscious manufacturing.
