On the seventh symposium of the Croatian CIGRÉ branch, held from November 6 – 10 in Cavtat, participated some 850 representatives of domestic and foreign companies. During four days they had the opportunity to hear 252 professional papers on the development of the newest technologies and their application in all segments of the electric-power sector.

The work was carried out per groups in four main sections – Equipment, Sub-systems, Systems, Supporting technology.

Elka kabeli were presented in the section Sub-systems (Group B1 – Insulated cables) with two technical subjects – Optimization of cable power transmission capability using thermal monitoring and Advantages of use HDPE and XLPE instead of PVC as sheathing and insulation material for 1 kV cables.

At the seventh symposium of the Croatian board of the International council for large electric-power systems, most frequented so far, participated also the specialists from Switzerland, Slovenia, Italy, France, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and Monte Negro.
