With the help of the main sponsor ELKA kabeli d.o.o. Kyokushin Karate clubs Elka and Maksimir organized the competition under the name ELKA CHRISTMAS CUP.
The Christmas Cups are traditional (there have been 12 competitions till now). The competition was held for junior cadets, cadets, juniors and younger seniors. At the competition took part the competitors from numerous Croatian Kyokushin karate clubs: Mladost – Samobor, Div – Bregana, Fortis – Domaslovec, Domenica – Sv.Nedjelja, Moslavina – Kutina, Dugo Selo – Dugo Selo, AIK – Varaždinske Toplice,
Dr.A. Starčević – Zagreb, Maksimir – Zagreb and Elka – Zagreb, same as the competitors from Hungary, all together 120 competitors, 84 male and 36 female competitors.
Our club was represented by 6 female and 8 male competitors. We won 4 gold and 2 bronze medals in female categories and a cup for the best technique in the category for younger competitors. In male categories we won 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.
